TENT CAMPING REVIEW: We stayed here in mid-august in Campground 1 and had a very good time, but found our site to be difficult for tent camping, especially having more than one tent on our site. The soil is rocky and difficult to drive stakes into. We actually had to dig one out when breaking camp. Our site was not very level and it was difficult to even find a place to put up our tents. This was our first trip to this park. We may stay here again, but will try to get a site in Campground 2, which looked much more tent friendly.

This is a very nice campground but is limited. Only the 27 sites that have full hook-up also have water. The other sites are dry sites with electric only. So if you are not lucky enough to get a full hookup site then you have to conserve your water and sewer as there are only 2 dump stations in this park and a few water spigots spread out usually near the shower houses. About 50% of the sites are reservable and the others are first come first serve. They are remodeling one of the camping areas in this park so maybe there will be more full hook-ups in the future. It is much cheaper than the KOA which is $41.00 a night in Branson.

This is an awesome campground! Wonderful shower houses, playgrounds, very convenient for either the lake or Silver Dollar City, or whatever you have plans for. Highly recommend this campground.

This state park has it ALL. From basic to Full hookup. It has very updated bathhouses and a nice paved walking trail that you can take. There is a marina for boat rental or bring your own boat.
