We stayed here as we evacuated from lower Louisiana for Hurricanne Gustave in 2008. The campground is big. There are 2 different campgrounds in the park. We stayed in the R.O. Hannah park on site # 11. We were directly across from the bathhouse and laundry. We were also near the lake. All-in-all a nice site but small. Other nice sites were--12,13,14,15 in that area. The sites are slightly sloped, not much room to put the awning out and the picnic table was on the backside of the camper as most were. Forget about Direct Tv or such...too many trees. For the price the campground was O.K. Large beautiful lake, boating, fishing ect. Nice place to do nothing else but relax. We camped here in a 27 ft. 5th wheel and had just enough room to park our truck in front of the camper. The other campground in the park is the CCC campground. We took a ride through there and found the sites to be crowded. Lot's of trees, shade, overall tipical state park. We would stay there again and thank god we found this place for the hurricane.

My family LOVES this park. It is HUGE!! Plenty of things to do for everyone. The kids loved the water slide and the pool and the game room. It was the first time we played frisbee Golf and we really enjoyed it! There are tennis courts, baseball fields, trails, swimming, fishing, a deer enclosure, and probably a few things we missed. I wish I wouldn't have moved so far away from this place or I would visit it more often.
