This is a family owned campground that is near to my family. I have camped there 3 times and will again. Enjoyed the cg. Sites are small but staff is friendly & bath house is clean.

Satyed here a few years ago on Mother's day weekend. It was close to home for all the family to meet. It was a little hard to find at first the sign wasn't very clear on which way to go from rte 4. Area was quiet not many people there. Staff was friendly, showers were clean. Pet friendly with an area to walk them. Bring your own poop bags.

This was a campground close to home. We made last minute plans to camp over memorial day weekend. We should have known when this was the only campground available. It wasn't bad, just not what we are used to. The pull thru sites are very narrow. You are on top of your neighbor. Watch your fire ring because you may just catch your neighbors' camper on fire! If you do not have your own bathroom in your camper, better get up early in the morning! There are only four bathrooms available at each bath house. The bathrooms aren't bad, they have a stand up shower, toilet, and a sink in each. There is not a sign on the outside of the door to tell the next person that it is occupied, so sometimes you get impaitent people who like to bang on the door for minutes while you are rushed to finish. They have bingo, that costs like $4.00 to play. They have putt putt, but you have to pay for that as well. The pool is free, but the light at the bottom kept coming loose so everyone would have to get out hourly to have that fixed. We bought firewood there, but it was wet. So Friday night we didn't have a fire, Saturday night the wood was still damp and hard to keep lit. The campsite is really close to the public and seems to be also open to the public. Saturday night there was a live band, and a LOT of people came that did not camp there. Sunday night was Karaoke, and again there were a lot of non campers there. The campground was dog friendly, but some of the campers did not follow the rules about picking up after your dog, or keeping your dog quite, or on a leash. It was definately an experience. I am happy I went. I probally won't go back. And I will not recomend it to anyone.

I had a seasonal site here in 2006. The location is perfect for seeing DC but getting away from it when you are done. The campground was well maintained, the pool was nice. They were in the middle of some upgrades with brand new showers and such just as we left the area. I would definitely go back if in the area.
