Expedition Paw Prints

November 19,2009

The only reason for the 2 star rating is the amenities. For those of you who need something more than primitive, this isn't for you. If you tent camp and want some serenity this is a great little campground. Even though the campsites are primitive there is a well located vault toilet which, by the way, was very clean. The 281 acre lake is very scenic. Wildlife is in abundance. The 220-acre upland habitat surrounding the lake includes coyote, deer, squirrel, turkey, bobwhite quail, owl, rabbit and waterfowl. Other than the leftovers from disrespectful campers the campsites are well maintained. There are only about 10 campsites here. There is a concrete boat launch. You can set camp up right next to the lake. Makes for a great view! For pictures visit http://www.pawprintsthemagazine.com/?p=8237
