Red Top Mountain is one of my families favorite Georgia State Parks. We have visited 34 of the 48. The tree canopy is great for keeping your campsite cool during the day. Large spacious areas between sites are a great place for kids to play. The staff is pleasant. The bathhouse is small and should be undated. But we love it!

I like this site have stopped here more than once. Nice and quite most of the time .. the check-in is a little differant but not anything you can not live with. I have been here mostly during the week and love it .... Lots more to explore.

We didn't get too much time to explore here but what we saw was nice. We stayed over for a weekend in March and it was really cold. Great place to stay if you want a short commute to the Georgia Aquarium though.

So far in our travels this has been the campgroud we have loved the most. The beauty of the mountains and lake,a superb place to kayak and explore, not to mention the great fishing. An added feature was having the lodge which has a resturant in it which had a surprisingly wonderful slection of food and all quite yummy. Always a plus...the very clean restrooms... We can't wait to make a trip back there!!

I love this site. It's primitive for the tent sites and they are all very near the water on the secluded side of the campground. There are plenty of RV sites, and most sites are covered with a range of tree cover, but not too many pines (which I can't stand to see an entire campground covered in pines). And it's on Alatoona. Pretty quiet, pretty clean, compared to Lanier and it's relatively close to the city (on hour) if you choose to drive in for a day.
