We have stayed here three times over four years and have had a good time. We rented one of their cabins for two three nite stays and two four nite stays. The staff is good and owners are on top of everything. The only complaint is the overnight security but other than that the service is okay. The rec hall is really nice and has an ice cream shop there with a well kept mini golf course. The weekends are fantastic for children with scheduled activities from 9am till late evening. The cool thing is that they really have the events they advertise and have plenty of staff to facilitate them. The beach is great. A clean area with a huge water slide and trampoline in the middle of the lake. There is a snack bar that serves breakfast and lunch during the week and dinner on weekends. Bathrooms and a shower are on the beach also. A large play scape is available on the beach too. In the main building a general store is located that offers quite a bit. A large swimming pool is located just behind the main building and again showers and bathrooms are available. There are plenty of great tent sites by the lake and in the woods. There are also many many rv sites. We stay in one of the cabins when we go to Odetah and like them a lot. They are clean but understand they are not houses or hotel rooms. There is a microwave, small fridge and electrical outlets but you supply your own bedding. There is a large latrine with plenty of showers( no coins needed for the showers). Every latrine has a laundry with fair rates. Everyone we met is great. Mostly families with young children populate this camp as it seems to offer so much to them. Trash is picked up twice daily by staff or you can bring it to the dumpster. The only reason I did not give this camp five stars is the seasonal crowd. Snobby types that walk around smoking and drinking after 5pm. The seasonal area is packed solid with mostly trailers with barely three feet between them, privacy must be nonexistent. We like this place and seem to find ourselves there at least once a year.

I have stayed in this campground when they first opened and have made it there several years after. The owners do there best to help you, you cant fix every problem. At least they would make a atempt. Haveing the water way there was nice to go boating and such. will go back again.

I stayed at Odetah twice this summer and found it to be the best campground in CT. It is clean, safe, friendly, fun, the sites are large, the grounds are very well kept, and the store is well stocked. Dogs are allowed but there weren't too many around. There is a new dog park that you can drive too with your pooch. I love camping in my travel trailer and this ranks right up there with the other 5 star resorts I have stayed at. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is picky about where they camp!

I have stayed at this campground many times and love it! It was one of the cleanest parks I have been to. The other campers were very friendly and fun to be with. I found none of the problems that chrisco1 talked about in his review.

I was a seasonal camper at this awful campgroung. This place is disguisting. My property was vandalized and I had property stolen. Vehicles were broken into. I was constantly woken up very early by barking dogs. The security was a joke. The guy in charge of security was only responsive if you were his boyfriend. My teenage daughter was being chased by a strange man and was very frightened. The CT State Police had to be brought in to control the fighting between campers. Also, there was "poop" found in the lake. All of this for the bargain price of over $3,000. You may as well just park you camper in the ghetto. Very unhealthy and unsafe environment.
