Great little campground, trout fishing and pine trees.

Although the descriptions above do not mention it, there are some pull-through sites on the lake side of the campground. There is also waterfront access and pets are allowed but they must be on a leash. Most of the sites do have 50 amp capability. The sites do not have water, but it is available at many locations throughout the campground. The lake sites are in the open with just a few trees. There is a dock, boat launch and swimming beach. The lake offers opportunities to fish, ski or just relax. I usually camp at the Dam Site River campgrounds. We have camped in all three river loops but our favorite area is Parker Bottoms. These areas are just below the dam. The water averages 47 to 50 degrees throughout the spring and summer. I've seen some swim in the river, but it is a little cool for my tastes. The trout fishing in this area is excellent. Most of the sites are shaded and restrooms and showers are available. I have several canoes and kayaks that I take with me and we love to float the river. There are stores nearby for supplies and also to rent canoes. Eureka Springs is a 15 to 20 minute drive through the beautiful Ozarks. Eureka is a quaint historic town with a lot of cool stuff going for it. I would recommend this area to anyone.
