We camped at Wind Creek State Park on Memorial Weekend 2011. I was a lot of fun. Our camp site was D73 and it was pretty good, but alittle small. There were a few tree on our door side so we couldn't hang our anling all the way out. We were closed to the water. We did fishing, swimming, and hiking. The only down side is there were children on bikes everywhere so you really have to be careful and watch out for them. The camp sites were very crowded. Campsites are only allowed 2 vehicles per site, but there were many more than that there making parking camper alittle hard. The park is very beautiful and definitely deserving of coming back and enjoying more of it. My family and I had a great time there.

My wife and I have been comming here for our anniversary for many years. We started tent camping and then the next year stayed in one of the cabins. We have got a cabin every year since and this year will make the 4th or 5th year we have spent our anneversary here. The atmosphere is great. You can hike and walk, it is a safe place I felt comfortable having my now 10 year old daughter and 20 month old son who was only crawling last time in. The people that run the place and store are always so helpful and nice. We have also rented the pontoon boat before and I agree with kenzie1 that lake Martian is a beautiful lake to be on. We got the boat planning to fish but spent most of the time just riding and looking. Neither of us had out fishing license but I purchased those at the store there as well as our bait. I was stunned to find out one pizza place nearby delivered. I forget what one but it is a large chain pizza delivery store.

First time visiting. We stayed at site B-11 on the water in a travel trailer. Great site near beach area and the new bathhouse (w/ A/C). The park does not reserve spots, it's first come/ first serve. We met lots of great people. Wildlife was wonderful. Each morning we had lots of critters to watch (Canadian geese, chipmunks, woodpeckers, ducks, and deer)around our campsite. Rented a boat from the marina ($120 for 4 hours). Next time we will definitely take our boat so we can spend more time exploring the lake. Lake Martin is beautiful with clear water and lots of sandbars to stop and swim! No TV reception, unless you bring a satellite, but we didn't miss it. Wish we had the time to stay a little longer. Our kids had a blast! They didn't even fight the whole week!
