The front of the park was an array of abandoned junk vehicles under their highway sign and our host met us at the entrance holding a beer - which pretty much set the theme for the whole park. There was never anyone in the "office" (an old mobile home surrounded by junk) and we were directed to wind our way through more piles of junk to yet another mobile home if we needed service in the future. There was junk everywhere, empty old mobile homes, heavy equipment, cars, trailers, and various other material in piles or randomly scattered around the property. There was what appeared to be a junkyard at one end of the park and a sand pit at the other. The lake in "Lakeside" turned out to be a tiny mud hole in the woods. The dirt roads flooded when it rained and there was much standing water, which resulted in red clay dirt all over our tires and under our vehicles. When it was dry there was a lot of dust that settled on our vehicles. There was constant highway noise throughout the day and night. One of the residents apparently operates a towing business, coming and going all through the night in a noisy diesel and had a large and loud four wheel drive with no muffler. There was little in the way of landscaping, the only effort appearing to be pea gravel, a few plants, huge blocks of concrete, and piles of dirt, gravel, and broken concrete. The wireless internet was very slow, sometimes didn't work at all, pages required reloading to display completely, and we had difficulty accessing email. The two washers and dryers seemed to always be in use, the laundry room was really dirty, and we ended up going to town instead. The nearest store had overpriced necessities and high dollar propane. There was a RV dealer just down the road, but the woman behind the parts counter the two times we stopped there was rude and didn't have much if any knowledge of RVs. Lakeside RV park was very trashy, we were very happy to be on our way, and we'll definitely avoid it in the future. Worst campground ever!
