We stayed here in a TT w/ our 2 children. We would not have been as disappointed with this campground, but all of the advertisements stressed how spacious the campground and campsites were. Since this campground was priced a bit higher than some of the others nearby, we had hoped it would be worth the extra $. Unfortunately, it was not. The sites were not numbered properly and we had a hard time finding ours. We were so close to our neighbors, that they could barely roll out their awning. The brochure says that there are only around 30 campsites spread among 6 acres, but in truth there are at least 40 sites packed into a much tighter space. The bathhouses were run down and the women's is only a toilet and one shower located in the middle of a game room, which stayed occupied by teenage boys the entire time we were there. Luckily, we had family staying at a nearby condo and used their shower. Gave this a 2 because the dock is nice for watching the bay, but we would not stay here again. | ||

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend '09. Place is small and more rustic that the others in the area. Lot's of mature trees and it backs right up to the bay with a dock you can fish off of. We saw a pod of porpoises that came very close to the dock one evening. There were a ton of yellow flies that bite unfortunately but they go away in the evening. The bathrooms could use an update but get you clean. Only minutes from a semi-private beach, much less crowded than the public beach on the main drag in Gulf Shores. | ||
