Great RV resort. We camped here this past labor-day weekend. Both the RV sites and tent sites were full, but was definately not crowded and very quiet at night. The related resort adjacent to Ocean Mesa, El Capitan Canyon offers a nice deli which can be charged to your campsite. They also had a free ropes course for which my 10 year old daughter gained great confidence. There are also other great activities to look into, including a massage!. El Capitan State Beach is just across the 101 and the beach is great (there was a little tar, but normal for this area) Hiking trails are also nearby. Although on the high-side of campgrounds, it was worth the visit and will visit again.

This is the nicest campgroundd on the Santa Barbara coast that is just on the other side of 101. They have many pull thrus and if you go on the upper level you get a great ocean view. There is a trailhead on site if you like to hike. It is a very new campground and the facilities are kept immaculate. It is a little pricey but you not only get to use the pool and jacuzzi but you can enjoy the weekly bands and BBQ down at El Capitan Canyon. If you love the central coast and find it hard to get reservations elsewhere give this place a try -- It is still not well known and you can get a spot relatively easy.

We've stayed here several times since it open a couple years ago. It's a little expensive but the campground is extremely nice. It is only a couple years old so everything is in great condition. The spots are nice size, level and very clean. The maintenance crew keeps the place looking excellent. The showers, bathrooms and pool are also very clean and nice. Many of the spots have an ocean view and it is just a short jump to El Capitan beach. You also have access to El Capitan Canyon where they have concerts in the part and other events throughout the year. This is one of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed at.
